Mike Menser has 40 years of experience serving in leadership positions related to US Army combat and training operations. He brings broad leadership experience in project and personnel management; organizational problem solving; training and systems development. He has served as Senior/Special Advisor to several high level military and civil government commands and held key roles in creating, organizing and directing operations and training in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the Continental United States.
Menser enlisted in the Army in 1967 as a private. After 30 months in Vietnam, he attended Infantry Officer Candidate School and graduated in 1971as the Distinguished Honor Graduate. Prior to retiring in 1995, he spent 16 years serving in numerous command, staff, instructor, and combat development positions around the world. He commanded infantry units in combat from fire team to company in three wars. In his last assignment, LTC Menser was Senior Advisor and Chief, Regional Training Team, US Army Active Component/Reserve Component program. There he directed the re-engineering of a US Army Reserve division to meet new, congressionally mandated mission requirements by finding unique solutions to keep 2200 soldiers in five disparate subordinate brigades motivated, trained, and productive.
He and his wife, the former Christine Watkins, reside in Columbus, Georgia and have four daughters.
