Twenty one years of military experience in the U.S. Army as both Non-commissioned Officer and Commissioned Officer.  Served in Infantry (Mech. / Light), Airborne Ranger, Special Operations, and Army Acquisition Corp assignments.  Commissioned through Officer Candidate School (OCS) in 1990.  Honorably retired in May of 2000 and was recalled to active duty in January 2005, with service in Afghanistan for one year.  

Skip’s accomplishments  include Officer Candidate School (Jess Wells Distinguished Military Leadership Award), Ranger School (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Infantry Officer Advanced Course (Class leader and Military Leadership Award), Infantry Officer Basic Course (Commandant’s List), Sergeant Morales Club Inductee (Top Two Percent of NCOs in Europe During Selection Period), Soldier of the Year (Thrice Selected), U.S. Army Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), U.S. Army Primary Non-Commissioned Officers Course (Commandants List),  U.S. Army Advanced Individual Training (Honor Graduate), U.S. Army Basic Training Course (Platoon Soldier of the Cycle).

Skip graduated “magna cum laude” from Troy State University Ft. Benning, GA in 1995, earning a Bachelor’s of Applied Science Degree in Resource Management.  He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from LeTourneau University, Houston, TX in 2004, and he holds a Master’s Certificate in Project Management form George Washington University 2003.
