The U.S. Army Officer Candidate Schools Scholarship Program
  1. PURPOSE: To award annually college scholarships to children and grandchildren of an Army OCS graduate and member of the OCS Alumni Association.
  2. GENERAL:
    • The number of scholarships and amount for each scholarship will be determined by the OCS Alumni Association Board of Directors (BOD) each year.
    • Scholarships will be awarded by August 15 of each year.
    • Scholarships will be funded from designated Scholarship funds within the OCS Alumni Association.
    • Funding for the Scholarship Program will come through contributions and fund-raisers.
  3. ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS:
    • Any child or grandchild of an Army OCS graduate and member in good standing of the OCS Alumni Association is eligible for an OCS Scholarship.
    • Applications for Scholarships must be filled out in entirety and submitted to the BOD.
  4. PROCESS:
    • A Scholarship Committee composed of three members from the BOD will administer the Scholarship Program.
    • Annual notification of the Scholarship Program will be made February 1 each year. Applications for the Scholarship Program will be requested to be received by July 1 each year.
    • The Scholarship Committee after reviewing all applications and the amount of Scholarship funds available will recommend to the BOD the number of Scholarships to be awarded, the amount for each Scholarship, and to whom the Scholarships should be awarded.
    • The BOD by vote will confirm and award the Scholarships for the year.
