As a graduate of OC 14-69, 51st Company, I was one of very few Vietnam officers enrolled in the U.S. Army's 1987-88 Class in the Command & General Staff Officer Course at Ft. Leavenworth. The Army's view of that war at the time was quite revealing, not by what was said but by an overwhelming silence surrounding it. Later military changes (e.g., all volunteer Army) and new combat operations appear to have enabled new outlooks. Good to see my former CGSC classmate, BG Martin Dempsey, in Iraq on ABC News!
