I entered Artillery OCS at Ft. Sill, OK in Oct. 1964. I graduated with class 4-65 in April 1965. In August 1965 I joined the tactical staff at the OCS. I was there until 8/31/67. I was platoon leader of 3rd platoon, Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion for a year. I was then exec officer in several of the new batteries set up when the school expanded from 2 battalions to 6 battalions. The experiences as a candidate and as a staff member served me throughout my life. I owe a lot to the OCS. Ron Tate
