I have come across a very interesting and noteworthy piece of OCS history. 1LT James A. Gardner and 1LT Joseph X. Grant and 1LT Ronald E. Ray each received the Medal of Honor "for conspiuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of their lives above and beyond the call of duty" while serving in the Republic of South Vietnam in 1966.
Remarkably, they were all commissioned on April 17, 1964 and were classmates in 52d Company, members of Infantry Officer Class 4-64, Fort Benning, Georgia.
Three Medal of Honor recipients from one OCS class. HOOAH.
